An official translator is able to make official translations of documents coming from other countries, as well as documents being sent to foreign countries.
Certain documents in a language other than Spanish, such as a patent, power of attorney, official transcript or an adoption file need to be handed in to a government office that requires its official translation. In some cases, the document must be legalized in the original country’s consulate, or even in the country of destination before being presented to the corresponding administration
